If either of you goes premium, it unlocks for both. Because it was never a solo app to begin with.
Location sharing is optional and off by default. When it's on, Nestlight uses low-power significant-location updates — not continuous GPS — and your partner only ever sees the distance between you, never your position on a map. Turn it off and your last position is deleted immediately. Leaving is unilateral: nobody needs an ex's permission to unpair.
